Trouble Brewing

While Alex and Martin prepare to return home, a storm is brewing that threatens to derail everything they’ve built. Private investigator Alexis Parker is ready to say goodbye to the sun, surf, and sand. The West Coast branch of Cross Security is finally getting off the ground, and Martin’s business in Los Angeles is coming to an end. Just a few more weeks, and they should be able to go home for good. Except, all is not as it appears. While enjoying a lazy afternoon at the beach, Alex is approached by someone she thought she’d never see again. Despite having hung up her FBI credentials for good, another federal agency needs her help. And they won’t take no for an answer. Sending a familiar face to make the approach was supposed to lessen the blow. Instead, it only ups Alex’s anxiety. Alex hasn’t seen Agent Decker since the last time they worked together, but he needs her to assist his team one more time. Alex’s acquaintance, Sgt. Will Russo, has been on Decker’s radar for a while. Russo had gotten himself in deep when he shot two fellow officers, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Alex doesn’t know the rest of the story or how the sergeant connects to her old contacts. But she’s about to be dragged into the middle of it, along with everyone else she’s ever cared about.....M.F
