From Booklist Georgie met Hugh during her first year at university and knew that he was the man for her. Georgie spent the intervening years transforming herself for the momentous occasion, but now she is no longer the svelte woman making a splash in advertising and living the high life in London because she's pregnant, moody, and, unforgivably, gaining weight. An array of interesting, very British characters adds to the flavor of the story, making for a Bridget Jones meets motherhood scenario in Parks' fun and funny ode to motherhood in modern London.
