Hard Case

No-nonsense, hard drinking, rebellious NYPD Officer Jennifer Case has a fire for bringing criminals to justice as the lead detective in one of the city's number one homicide teams. But an unforeseen challenge arises when her captain assigns her a civilian ride-along--the world renowned investigative journalist Blake Rivers. Blake is tasked with writing a story about Jennifer and her unorthodox police methods in an attempt to lessen the blow of her more extreme techniques. Globe-spanning Rivers is a little too eager to prove himself more than just a journalist. But his playful ribbing and interloping aren't her only trouble. As Jennifer and her team investigate the sudden string of murders and the appearance of cryptic riddles in the city, she must also deal with the conflicting thoughts she has about Blake Rivers.
