In the tale of The True and False Monkey King also known as Sun Wukong, the Monkey King has abandoned his master, a monk, due to a disagreement over the Monkey King's behavior. An imposter joins the monk as he travels west to India but turns on him, wounds him and steals all the luggage. The real Monkey King returns to the monk to subdue the imposter, but the two monkeys are so alike that no one, in Heaven or on Earth, can tell which one is the true Monkey King. The moral of this story is how important it is for one to realize one's true nature (no matter how others may judge) and remain on the path to learning
