"Future Disease collects 16 short fictions written by Chen Qiufan in recent years. Among all those fictions, The Flower of Shazui was the finalist of ""The Best Short Fiction"" in the Third Fiction Translation Competition. The Japanese edition of Year of Rat was voted for the first prize by readers of SFMagazine in 2014 among all the foreign works, and it became the first Chinese finalist of Japanese Nebula Competition.
