Overview: I live in L.A., but am originally from Dixon, Illinois, a rather Norman Rockwellish town in northern Illinois located along a beautiful, soulful old river (the Rock River). I am a musician and play piano "by ear"; I write songs and have had 3 of them published and commercially released in the international pop music market. Its 1974, and Jordan drives a beaten-up VW Bug from Indiana to southern California in hopes of reuniting with the first love of his life. Bo left without warning, and Jordan has to know why. Is it really over, or did Bos conservative, religious parents force him to end it? All Jordan has is a few hundred dollars and a lovesick heart. Little does he know the dragon hell soon to face in the form of Bos intimidating, redneck father. In a motel room, he discovers the most unlikely advocate a gay boy can imagine. Will Jordan be able to rescue Bo from the parents who condemned their relationship, or will his long journey prove futile and heartbreaking?
